What is the best remedy for migraines?

 

Migraines are believed to be caused by a change in blood flow, nerve signaling, or chemical activity in the brain. These causes are complex which is why migraines can be difficult to treat. 

The most effective remedies for migraines relax the blood flow and impact hormonal signaling in the brain. Something as simple as magnesium can significantly shift signaling in the brain, but most people need more than supplement intake for long term resolution. Hormone balancing is often effective in resolving migraines, so hormone testing is often helpful. 

In complex cases of migraines, we have to go deeper into diet and lifestyle to find the root cause.  Upgrading our food choices can be a difficult lifestyle factor to change, but it can often be our most treasured foods that our body needs a break from.
